That's Life
Greetings gentle reader. For those who understand, A'salaamu Aleikom.
Well it has been over a year since I was here, it has taken two years to come to grips with the realities of life. My Daughter has been with me for most of this time and we are happy. She has become somewhat addicted to WOW, but that's life for a teenager.
My wife and I never did reconcile, the divorce becoming final on 29th December last year. She now has her own life and I bare her no ill will. I have toyed with the idea of starting again, but why bother. I have bought anther motorcycle, ok it does not fill the void, but it will do for the time being.
As for my writing? I feel that I have lost my Muse. I have not written, composed or performed anything since the happening. I had enough to do fighting the depression, but all is good now. I think about her, but no longer miss her. And that's cool. Maybe later on I will write more.
Over here, the credit crises is starting to bite, but not as hard as the rest of the world. At the moment I am all but unaffected by the world's financial problems. I do wonder whether the US elections will be off any good for the economy. I get the feeling it will be a case of "The King is gone, Long live the King." I mean what will change? A politicians promise is about as useful as a standard newspaper to a blind person. I figure in about 10 years we will all be buying bicycles because there will be no petrol. At least by then the big oil companies will have nothing left. Hmmm...That could mean Bio Fuels may get the attention they need.
It will soon be my Birthday, but I do not intend to sit and watch flowers grow. I intend to celebrate with a wild ride on a very curvy road, scratching metal with the bitumen and feeling the thrill of freedom. There is nothing more exhilarating that the wind in my face at a 130 Kph.
Now, That's Life.
Until next time, may your God watch over and protect you and those you hold most dear to your heart.
