Another day passes

Life in the 'Burbs

Greetings gentle readers.

Today was the usual mixture of peace and disharmony.

I was walking back home from the shop, minding my own business, when I saw my neighbor run into the park, and start a fight with a young kid. Mind you he's 35 years old, and acts like a sixteen year old. Always starting Fights with the younger kids.

Anyway, he sees me walking past and decides to give me a mouthful of cheek. The usual threats, and verbal violence, quite funny realy. His wife, not knowing what is going on runs out and joins in. I just laughed and continued on my way.

The guy is a sleeze. He is suspected of hiding in the dark and spying on the bedroom windows of teenage girls. His wife once told me that he was spying on my daughter. Without proof, not much I can do.

I suppose if he gave up the drugs, he might make something of himself.

If Jerry Springer ever comes to Aus, I might nominate them to go on the show. The IQ ratio is about right, (Equal to an unfertilised egg).

On another subject, I am quite proud of myself, I have finally got my Blood Sugar down to an acceptable level. It was a great excuse to celebrate with a Jam filled, ( I think the yanks call it Jelly? Most confusing),  sugary Doughnut. I mean one cannot just give in to a totaly regulated lifestyle, can one. The way I figure it, quantity of life is no good without quality.

Still planning our trip. Figure we'll go around the 24th june, drive 500k and have a BBQ. No! I don't like shrimp on the Bar-B. (Paul Hogan has a lot to answer for).

For those that are unaware, a shrimp, to us, is a tiny little prawn thingy that wouldn't get noticed on a BBQ. A Banana Prawn on the other hand is at least six inches long peeled, and three inches in diameter. I prefer them thrown into a pot of boiling water that is flavoured with lots of garlic and olive oil, cooking time is three minutes, otherwise they come out like old retreads. Then served, coated with Lemon Butter Sauce, on a bed of Vermicelli Noodles. Darn! there goes tomorrows diet.

I have been playing games lately. I seem to have lost interst with the internet. Got bored with the Yahoo groups, can't get a decent or intelligent conversation anywhere. And the silly pre-pubescent ning nongs? they are the worst. They only serve to make me more depressed.

Anyway, I got involved with a game called Command & Conquer, Red Alert 2. Most interesting, took me a total of six hours to finish each side. A bit challenging but not much. Thought of going online to play, but last time I tried that, my computer filled with worms and spyware. Took me a week to clean up the mess.

Had a nice dinner tonight, Sate' Chicken served with saffron rice. The Brut Chardonnay was a total loss, tasted like cleaning fluid. The Vintner obviously put wood alchohol in it to age it quicker. Make a quick buck so to speak.

Think I'll go to bed now. It is 1.20 am, and I'll probably dream of lemon Garlic Prawns. Unless I fly around in my dreams again. Most exhilerating. Hmmm... I look forward to my dreams, I get a lot of my Poetry from them.

Good Night All. May your dreams be as interesting. Unless of course you have just risen from your slumber, in which case, may your day be more interesting  than your dreams.
