The weather The Weather, funny how people find that subject the principle topic of conversation.
For me the weather is my Bane, the tormentor of my physical being.
The temperature for the last few days has been between 35o and 39o centigrade, don't know what that is in the old currency, think it's around 85 to 95 degrees. Humidity is an average of 68%.
Two of the kids are already displaying symtoms of heat exhaustion, Lethargy, vomiting etc. Have not reached the delerium stage. Might keep them home tomorrow and in the shower to keep cool.
The school does not have air conditioning and the classroom temp was 39.6 degrees. If it reaches 40, they are sent home? What's point four of a degree?
For me the Arthritis is agravated to the 'enth degree. I still did the usual today, Three loads of washing, the grocery shopping, ( Loved the Super market, sooo cool),
Came home, checked my auctions, all the while the persperation poured down my face.
Cooked dinner, Spaghetti Bolognase for the kids, Hot Chilli for me and Juanita. Wanted to make Snitzel, but it was just too hot in the kitchen. OK i'm a sucker for punishment but I love my chilli.
But when I stopped, the pain kicked in, and I found I could not stand up without wanting to literaly scream.
Juanita is no better, she just hides it better than i do.
Due to the Fibro Myalgia, she is showing symtoms of acute depression.The chronic pain must be almost unbearable at times.
She sleeps very little, staying in bed until around mid-day most days. Eats almost nothing unless I put it in front of her. She seems to have lost all motivation.
At least today she was able to write and post some poetry.
The eBay boards seem to pick her up a bit, but she soon becomes disinterested.
She inspires me the way she battles through each day.
I love her more each day, the way she cares about others, the way she makes me feel when I feel down, she is my comfort and my shield, and I try to be hers.
Hopefully tomorrows weather will be a little cooler, but I doubt it.
I might take her to the movies, it's cooler in the theatres.
