Tuesday June the first. another day in the life of mediocraty.

Greetings once again gentle Readers.

Hmmm...I had all this written up and the power went off and I lost the lot. So let's start again.

Babies

Stephanie got her "Doll" last weekend. I had forgotten what it was like having a baby in the house. And after last Friday and Saturday nights, I have determined that such an event will not happen again. Okay! Juanita does have lst say in such mattres, but luckily she does agree with me.NO MORE BABIES!

Anyway, back to the story. As there are not enough of these Dolls to go around, she only had it for the weekend. As if two days is going to convince a teenager that having babies is no fun. I mean two days isn't enough time to let the novelty wear off. On the Sunday, she broke the Key, so she had to take the batteries out. Peace at last.

The Baby, for want of a better name requires constant attention. if it cries, one must remove the Pilchers and replace them, to emulate changing of nappy. One must also insert key in the back of the doll and give it one turn, to shut it up.

As for the changing nappies bit, at least they could have programmed it leave an unpleasant odour and mess to make it more realistic. Even made it a necessity that she have to prepare a Bottle at 2 am, to the correct temperature, so she would know what It would be like if the situation was a reality. The current program is certainly no deterant, to teenage pregnancy. More of a novelty where they get to play "Dollies " again.

Boarder

Steven, our so called boarder, is becoming a real pain. he does nothing. expecting Stephanie to do everything. So far he has ruined a rare, Limited Edition CD of Blink 182, by not putting it away and getting it all scratched, Juanita is not pleased. he has ruined one disc of Command & Conquer. His puppy is still leaving it's mess and he won't clean up. And he has been eyeing off my 12 year old Port. I have politely told him that if he touches it, the penalty is Death, after he's paid for it.

Juanita and I might go to the Movies on Thursday, to see "The Day after Tomorrow". An Apocalyptic movie about the melting of the Polar Caps. Should be interesting.

Health

I have been waking up feeling a bit dizzy for the last few days. I have found out that it is caused by not eating properly. It seems that with Diabetes, if one does not eat, one can become Hypo Glycaemic, ( probably need a spell check for that one). So I must eat something that is carbohydrate before bed. I wonder, is Chocolate a Cabohydrate? Any way, I made some cake and I have just had some.

This Editor thingy is realy pissing me off. If i make a  mistake,( I have Dyslexic Fingers and that's my excuse), I cannot go back and correct it without typing the whole line again. Grrr.

Food

Tonight I made a casserole, because Stephanie  will  not eat casseroles, I  put a pastry crust on top. She loves Pies. Go figure that one out. Yesterday I  had  the Curry, it was marvllous.

Neighbors

No more trouble with the Ferrals next door, albeit I  was woken up by their continuing domestic "Discussions?" this morning. I also should tell him that it no good telling the dogs what to do. Firstly they do not speak English, secondly, signs are no good, they cannot read. Yet for some reason he gets all upset when they don't do as they are told.

Statistics

New figures came in today. One in 98  families are  homeless, Three in ten are living below the U.N., poverty line, two out of five families are single parent families, and 33% of all Adults are over the age of 50. Another disturbing factor is that 49% of all young people under 20 are significantly overweight, with an increase in heart disease and Type 2 diabetes. These   are medical conditions that can be expected in Adults over the age of 45, now affecting fifteen and sixteen year old children,  it would apear that unless a severe shift occurs in the eating habits of the young, and soon, the fast food mentality will kill off a third of the population of this country within thirty years.

Yawn!

Time for bed methinks. It is 1.05 am and I am getting a bit drowsy.

So Goodnight, or Good morning, to all. May your Gods  watch over you and   bring  you Love and happiness.

For those of you who do not have a God or Gods, please substitute the words with Football, your new car or whatever takes your fancy

Motto for the day:-

"The problem with people is that, they are so busy trying to stay alive, they have forgotten how to live."

***************************

Now I'll drink to that.
