Greetings Gentle Readers
Today was payday, I say was, because that is about how long it lasted, the money that is.
Thusday is the day I do the shopping, pay the Bills online, and plan the weeks menu. It is the day of the week that i most dislike. Standing inline at supermarkets, being alternatively assaulted by mad women who, pushing their shopping trollys much like they drive, turn the ailes into demolition derby competitions. And bumping into strangers who always seem to be following me.
I don't believe that I look suspicious. I mean like I do not wear a black cloak, mask, and fiddle with my mustache or anything like that. I just seem to attract the store security who, in their efforts to look inconspicuous, stand out like a searchlight on a dark night. If anything, they do look quite suspicious to me. The others? I can only assume that to them, seeing a man doing the shopping, they start thinking that I am Domesticated and obviously available. I believe It is more a case of them looking for a Husband, they just don't know whose.
Lets face it, I have the sort of looks only a Mother, (and my wife), would find atractive. I figure they are so desperate, Qasimodo would do if he was available.
Anyway I digress. When i finaly got to the lineup at the checkout, behind eleven other people, I had an interesting conversation with the person in front of me. I would seem she has a teenage daughter, all of fifteen, who is expecting her first baby, ( I think maybe she should have had the doll in yesterdays Blog), and yes, she is having it so she can get the three thousand dollar grant. By "She" I mean the girls mother. She has already spent it in her mind. Oh well it takes all kinds.

So after spending a hour and a half there, I went to the Butchers, I never buy supermarket meat, too expensive and no personal service.
Remember that? Personal Service? Yes it still lives, hidden in the little pockets of shopper heaven, where Shopkeepers treat you like your parents were treated, as valuable assets to their business.
I am still looking for a petrol station, where the attendant comes out, smiles, fills your tank, washes your windscreen, checks the oil, and finaly says, "Thank you Sir, have a nice day" and he means it. Not the plastic smile, and the compulsory "Have a nice day" of the supermarket Checkie, or the pimply little kid serving Maccas.

My bloods were down to 7.5 tonight. Yippee! that means I can have TWO ! jelly filled sugary Doughnuts before bed, whith my sugarless hot chocolate with a liberal dash of Glenn Fiddich single malt. I am temped sometimes to just put a dash of milk in my whisky, but I do not succumb.
I must remember to buy some Schnapps tomorrow. I like Schnapps with Oysters Parmissan. I'll have to remember to put the recipe in here one day. you never know, someone might like it.
I will have to cook the Vindaloo Curry tomorrow as well, so it will be ready for Saturday. I always cook my curries the day before, so the spices will seep right into the meat. Hmmm...Vindaloo, with saffron rice, pappdums, Roti, Mango Pickle, Raita,. and assorted side dishes. Served with a nice Merlot at room temperature. Can't wait.

My Daughters Puppy is starting to get on my nerves. Little presents left all over the floor, smelly ones. Luckily we do not have carpet, so it's just a mop job to clean up. When she goes to school, who has to look after it? You guessed right, Mum and Dad. Okay it is cute, but cuteness wears thin when it alternativly chews ones slipper, (while I'm wearing it), and piddling on the other one.

Tonight i did not feel like cooking much, so i opted for Hot Dogs, (No, not the Puppy). The kids like them oven baked, then put on the roll, then liberaly sprinkled with tasty Cheese. Put back in the oven until the cheese has melted all the way down. I like mine with hot chilli sauce.

Well it is that time again, albeit a bit earlier than usual. It is only 12.45 am. Nevertheless, I have had my Valarian 2000, and I am starting to feel a bit drowsy.
So until next time, Goodnight and Good Morning. May the darkness never enshroud you and may you always feel the warmth, of the light within your souls, called love.
