for there's nothing left to say,
when poverty is kissed goodbye and sweetly waved away.

When loneliness is peaceful,
and a broken heart a dream,
and when you make a promise, it's a word you really mean.

When there's nothing left to fight for,
no tears left to shed,
this is when the purpose of the human race is dead.
