"The Sunrise"

Amidst,
the early morning light,
I am witnessing an awesome sight.

Prism Colors
of gold and blue
against the ocean,
gleaming true .

Silhouetted Lovers
holding hands by the bay
witness as I
the birth of a new day.

The ocean shadowed
by a luminous light
makes the transition
to DAY from NIGHT.

A sense of peace
hovers over the earth,
as the few awake
witness this birth.

Pieces of light
scatter over the sea
as the sun breaks through the night,
in all of its GLORY.

I stand in awe
not yet facing reality,
just realizing how BEAUTIFUL
nature can be.

The sun will rise on everyone
throughout eternity,
But today it feels the sun has rose
ESPECIALLY ON ME.
