When God redeems all things are new, All bitterness falls to streams like sand. When God redeems the heav'ns awake; Applause and cheers on every side burst forth. When God redeems the heart gives o'er, Surrendered to its primal bliss. When God redeems the earth stands still Silenced in awe, yet praise. For what was thought once doomed and ruined Now stands unblemished through the holiness of love. Not of man - Nor of will - but as only the Blessing When God through His Grace redeems. The subject of this poem is a matter of blessing and awe. I like the repetition of the theme and the progression of ideas. This kind of poem is a 'sweet smelling offering' to God.
