whence

by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed — Read all 584 poems by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed

...a very good question?

Saturday, December 4, 2010

Poem Artwork

does the word "whence"
even make any sense?

or have our sensez been
so dummify'd & dull'd
that we fail to make decisionz
for fear of crossing over

the dott'd line
opening the door,
asking for permission to come in?

does the future petrify us
to the point to where
everything we

hear

see

do...

(or don't do)

has us in a state of

blue orange yellow green

red-white-blue defense?

OH say can you see
the perdition of thinking

anything other than what

was wiki-leak'd as utter nonsense

(is it really...)

or, perhaps itz just one of those thingz that could only happen

in American newz....

that classify'd edit'd word of

black friday death-inside-

the-teleprompter box,

hmmph! who knows?

maybe the onez standing in line on black friday have the answer to the supreme question as to "whence" direction common sense went,

meanwhile, the political puppeteerz under the stairz make decisions while flat screenz fence us in.

are we content to sit
on the demilitariz'd
fence...

of "whence"?

Very, very clever. I'll bet it was fun to write. It sure was fun to read.

Hmmmm is right. The onez standing in line all night seem present a beacon for the whence direction of common sense. Then again I'm not walkin' in their shoes. Patrick
