Sometimes it's good medicine to face up and let frustrations out, especially through the poetic route.
Then again some things are best kept in the closet of bones, many can't deal with them and start pitching stones.
People in the world today
if they see a bad thing
they will try to run away
However for the inner self
there seems to be only a oneway
Everything coming in and about
no hidden bones going out
So some play the blame game
become arrogant and pout
Then comes the dirty dealings
and trying to hurt others feelings
Some fail to face up
to the fraction that is corrupt
The mirror awaits
looking away dictates
Most of us poets and writers
will not really admit feeling neglected
when no reviews are collected
Our hurt feelings are suspected
but we feel ashamed for this
to be detected
We go on versing the word
and might still say
the heck with being heard
Some of us becomes legends
in our own minds
then refuse to lift the blinds
As a writer I love to let everything
that I can out via poetic expression
Sometimes I teach myself a good lesson
But we all have hidden secrets and
bones behind our closet doors
Allowing the pandora box to open
would add to others scores
so we continue on safer shores
to keep from opening hurtful sores
Those personal things that are
hard to face
which will not disappear
without a trace
Poetically or otherwise
until the day of our demise
so we continue on with the disguise
So true! A good writer will let everything out! Who cares what other's think! If they don't like what you have to say they should just stay away!! Letting it go is always good for the soul...Peace, ~Chessly
Ah, yes but some of those bones can make really interesting reading if you drag them out of the closet and into the light.
Keep on keepn' on.
