                                    " Wine Country"

                                  Unique to travel up

up in a hot air balloon

                                  wind draft and fire

                                  sail us aloft

                                  Passion to fly free

                                  over cloudless skies

                                  hill and dale

                                  vineyards

                                  A toast to you

                                  words of the heart

                                  hit home sweet

                                  sky writing ahh!

                                 "Happy Anniversary"

What a lovely write you have here. I am scared of heights so I would never be able to do that.

What a beautiful poem Mary Ann. I hope you really got to take this ride. I've always wanted to go up in a balloon. Lovely work as always.

You have shared the experience most effectively through your verses, Mary Ann. I have never flown (floated in the air) in such a manner. Love and best wishes,

With this lovely poem, you have caused me to relive attending the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and driving through scenic Napa Valley in California. Good poetry has the capability to do that. And for all this, I thank you.

I kinda think that such balloons would make the perfect orator - as they are full of hot air.
Divine wine written this springtime.

Beautiful! Also very lovely to see that there still is water in California. Assuming we are talking about the wine country in California and not elsewhere.

Ahhh . . . I was never in a hot air balloon. No, I found my thrills on the mean streets of America. My chances of survival was almost certainly less than yours in that balloon. Don't known how you can "sky write" in a balloon. Trying for a bit of levity here, Mary Ann, pass that toke.
