"Moors of Scotland" Just before sunset a heavy thick fog drifts over the valley moor Darkness has invaded the ancient stone abandoned castle near the river's bend Midnight has chimed to a leap year for monster tales true as rain Fear of ghost apperitian super natural appearance of an ugly black entity Phantom story of cries and screams loud and clear the noise deafening Red haired children seen along the hallowed halls up and down the winding staircases Ancestors to the Scottish tale fading the child looks back "Moors Of Scotland" (c)2016, October 27, 2016 maryannbiddinger

I would love to go to Scotland,this poem paints a vivid picture of it and touched on its spooky side ("Phantom story of cries and screams")but from what I have heard from others the moors really are like that.
I enjoyed this poem.

As you most likely already know, my ancestors are Celtic... ...and there is red hair in the family (not me although I did have freckles which seem to have vanished as I reached adulthood). Well done, Mary Ann!

Ahhh . . . Retaining the tales of the Moors for the sake of repeating them year after year after . . . They never become tiresome.
