Dew on My Windowpane

Quiet Serene moment

 

 

 

 

By: R.C. Drake

Spots of moisture oh so small

Dots of dew that come to call.

 

Tiny water droplets here

 On our windowpane to cheer.

 

So very small, even slight

Exist without any might.

 

Only show at morning time

Bring in the day as they climb.

 

Back up to the sky once more

So again they can pour.

 

Down again to linger there

Only for a while to share.

 

Then they simply fade away

To return another day.

The dew cycle is beautiful, especially in the morning. I remember as a young boy going out into the woods and beyond to the meadows where dew covered the blackberry bushes. I enjoyed those carefree days so many years ago.
