A poem is a vision
obtained in acute
moment of perception,
as intricate split
second inevitable.
Subject, poet,
poem indistinguishable,
in a faint echo
more than a dream,
to say what it's seen
from where it's been.
On the remnants
of this mysterious way
he stands, as the village
lay waste to his track,
& harrows hell to get back.
