Have you ever heard the story of the Potter and the Clay
Told long ago and in a land far away

The Potter formed a vessel which was marred in his hand
But all was not lost, He simply formed it again

A parable it was which still applies today
God is like the Potter and we are like the Clay

How crumpled and twisted and all out of shape
Our lives can become through many a mistake

But how the light shines bright
In the middle of the night

To know there comes another day
With the Potter and the Clay
