That's what He said
When He showed the disciples the way ahead
World shaking events were to unfold
Miracles would continue if they were bold

He unveiled the forces behind the wall
It was written "I saw satan fall"
To share these words may sound surreal
But to those of faith they give cause to kneel
Before Him whose promises are true
He has started the collapse of the evil in view

He harnessed our fears and encouraged our trust
Unseen powers yield for He said they must
Like Moses with rod that serpent became
God said "pick it up!" and it  suddenly was tame

Jesus said in essence, I came because of you
Now the things I have done shall you also do
In the midst of sometimes fierce opposition
Our minds are brought back to this simple proposition

With His authority we move on ahead
For He has given us power to tread
These are flashes of truth from the hallowed book
Why not take time and give yourself a look
Greater works than these shall you do said He
It might be you, It could be me
