Our shared humanity cannot be denied.
I cannot be you You cannot be me But we are in this life together My dreams are not your dreams Your needs are not my needs But we are in this life together I may not feel the way you feel Nor do I heal the way you heal But we are in this life together The God I know You may also know For from him all things flow He shows himself to me In ways different from his kindness to you But we are in this life together You may know things I do not know Things you see, to me may not glow Yet through it all, what God does show We are in this life together
