I see her by the window
long raven black hair dances in the breeze,
her blue dress blowing in the wind.
She's a sonata waiting
for a blue rose in her hair
dancing in my arms with a gentle sigh
rumba rhythm's play their bossa-nova
we sway to the rhythm of the night.
It must be the musicality of her voice
the Spanish guitars in arpeggio
that play in my heart,
steel drums add to the music
stars twinkle on cue, and slowly fade into
an ocean dawn to a sunrise full of whispers,
scented with minted kisses and jasmine dreams.
Our grass bed roll sandy, we stretch
to a seagull's barking at a caught fish,
My blue rose radiant, smiles in her sweet way
her long black hair blankets my chest
our silhouettes sit heart shaped,
insetting a gold bright sun
as Atlantic tides rush in.
