I stand Upon the mountains of time Proclaiming It is Now and I am ready

Grey Wolf Can you Will you Hear my cry For so long My ears have been closed To your sounds My heart shut off To your mating call I have been afraid Afraid of myself Of you Of We Of a future path Woven together By our totems By our souls I have resisted Knowing you Knowing myself Through your eyes There is solace in solitude Safety But aloneness And loneliness The lone wolf cry Once defiant victorious Now craves chorous Harmony Inspiration My wounds are healed My solitude spent I seek my truth That exists in the We of you Come now Grey Wolf Wild Horse Mighty chief Guardian of me I will to walk in unified strength Footstep in footstep As one and yet two Soul of my soul You and I We have a purpose A co existing path In this life journey Destined and agreed upon In the energy fields Not of this place and time But contracted for here and now Grey Wolf I stand Upon the mountains of time Proclaiming It is Now and I am ready Are you Then come Be Here

Your poem shows how close we are attuned to nature. When we violate the wolf, we violate ourselves. Long has the red man and wolf been abused. Maybe, once again, we may see our true nature and return to a life close to it rather than at war with it.
