I wrote this poem for my granddaughter, who was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome. Kristamae lives in a group home with 24-hour care.
Angel God gave us this little angel Her name is Kristamae, Her lips don�t tell us anything But she talks in her own way. Her eyes light up with love And she breaks into a smile, She lets me know she loves me In her own loving style. God gave us this little angel All the way from Heaven above To teach us to be patient Amd show us how to love. The world will be a better place Because of Kristamae, She�s brought a lot of love and joy In her own pleasing way. And when her work is over, Somewhere along the way God has a special place for her Our angel, Kristamae. Emma L. Willey, Grandmother 1985
