Sometimes, happiness and sadness overlap. When they do, it’s hard to figure out which one to go with. Especially when you care about someone whom you rarely get to see.

I went to see my friend today
But what to him could I say
I’m very much in love with you
I think that-he already knew.

Did you complete your book?
Yes, do you want to look?
I brought it with, it’s in my car
We can walk there, it’s not that far.

Why don’t we get a bite to eat
Not too worry, it’ll be my treat
Who’s car then, yours or mine
I’ll do the driving, that’ll be just fine.

Now where would you like to go
Surprise me, the area I don't know.
So off we went in his car
We drove a bit but not too far.

This is nice, what a treat
A place where we can often meet.
Another mistake I did say
That continually scares my friend away.

I want no more then what you can give
I know this is not how you live
Fear not, my dear friend
This conversation I will end.

I ask for but a short time with you
But I’ll take more if inclined to.
I see your uncomfortable-I should go
But I’ll be back sometime you know.

Although years may pass before I see you again
It doesn’t mean the friendship has to end.
Maybe now and then you could think of me
And expand a bit on possibilities.
