You're not fooling me;
your strategy like the sting of a bee.
Why exploit your clientele;
quite similar to a drug cartel.
All you do is complicate a thing;
a clear-cut matter causing much bloodcurdling.
Legislators crafting laws with dollar signs;
don't deny it, a preposterous dyeline.
You try to justify your fees;
nothing but pain, like unwanted fleas.
You focus on the marital assets, you surely do;
how much of that can I get, while they sit and stew?
You cancel meetings to run up the tab;
why do you have to be such a scab?
You chose your vocation, seek justice and truth;
it's so unnecessary to remain uncouth.
So please, before you run up that tab;
consider your fellow man, and change that fad.
I've seen this happen in the public sector too;
so many people, just crying the blues.
You're not fooling me;
your strategy like the sting of a bee.
The unfair burdens you vehemently dish out;
this permeates society, like putrid sauerkraut.
Your poem speaks the truth. When I hear about divorces I am disturbed by the way they tear families apart. My brother told me a strange thing, that he had to "admit to infidelity" so the process go ahead. He hadn't, but it was somehow something his lawyer did for his defense?
Had to laugh at that last line. I don't think I ever had any bad sauerkraut. It's already pickled anyway.
