The sad thing is when two civilizations clash, as did the Turks and the Byzantines, the barbarians and the Romans, the Hindu and the Moslem in India, and the great clash of civilizatoins now occurring between the Moslem and Christian worlds, spiked by U.S. intransigeance in Iraq and Moslem insanities through Al Quaida and the like. I am to the point where I don't see an end to it in our lifetimes, which could be much shortened if another World War comes out of this. You are right about tragedies, but they don't have to be localised. They can be world wide and unstoppable.
