Rushed again by Limbaugh lunacy,
The man loves to be offensive;
However his latest idiocies -
Have left him on the defensive.

Pandering to reactionary conservatism
Not a new thing in this world;
In ancient days conflicts and schisms,
Society kicking and screaming was hurled.

Neandertal cavemen ridiculed paintings,
Spartans decried Athens decadence;
Roman liberals deplored slave beatings,
US northerners made abolition a precedence.

Robber barons insisted on 7-day week,
And a ten-cent an hour wage;
Unions sprang up protecting the weak,
Stirring opressed workers finally to rage.

Segregations' barriers knocked down,
Rosa stayed in front seat of the bus;
Board of Education vs. Brown,
Left racial separation in the dust.

Beatings, humiliation, name-calling too --
Gays and Lesbians were once easy pickings;
Stonewall's liberals started something new,
Pigheaded bigotry took another licking.

Liberal conspiracy exposed for all to see,
Makes life better for you and me;
Improve conditions for all humanity --
Look out, bigots: We'll all be free.
The old ways always die in the end,
No longer sensible for ANYONE to defend.
