The tarmac discolored Pinstriping of blood Chunks of glass Scraps of metal Dried flesh Withered by the baking sun Why was it you and not me? As I peer into my psyche There only exists the dark haunting Corridors of vicious eternity One two three drinks There went my mind Into the maelstrom of stupidity Never again shall I call you friend Never again shall I dream of sandy beaches Only the twisted pieces of metal And your contorted frame Lying next to me
