A PATH TO WHERE
The path reached out and pulled me in
It streached far away and vanished around the bend
The stones, the ground did seem to pulse and beat
The heat from there it seemed to seep through to my very feet
Two grooves where worn there
Smooth and oh so flat
By the unknown numbers of those who had walked on this path
The granite and the mica
It glittered and it flashed
Along the floor and the walls on this very path
To where and how far I do not know
Perhaps the changes that I noted
All along the way
Must be the life of the very planet or world
We occupy
In this endless universe.

Inspired by this and other passages in the bible.
I will finding interesting if others can or would like to cite other passages. Do that to give other readers your opinion of this poem.
"You will show me the path to live..." Psalm 16:11
I will cite others as I find them.
