Sonnet with video
by Sara L Russell aka pinkyandrexa

I move in shadow, driven by the night,
Gliding unfettered to the earthly mud;
Nocturnal hunters tremble in my sight,
For I am Vampyre - write my name in blood.

Beneath the catacombs, below the floor,
Skeletal hands are scratching to break free,
Whenever I pass through the corridor,
In all my diabolic majesty.

Come, carve my name in blood, into your arm,
Wait silently, so chaste, upon your bed;
I never let my minions meet with harm,
relinquish life - rejoice in the undead.

For blood is life; eternal youth remains
When young blood flows into an elder's veins.

I don't believe in vampires, only vampire bats. On the other hand I did have a girlfriend once named Yvonne. Some guy carved her name in his arm, only he misspelled it "Evonne."

Grab those side-irons, saddle up and join former Civil War sharpshooter Luther Henry for a ride into pure terror, western-style…think ‘Wild Wild West’ meets ‘The X-Files’.
