Sleepless Love

As I lay here in sleepless solitude, facing one more night of agony and sorrow, I am determined to focus on tomorrow, the dawn of our new love.

The sheep, long since sleeping, have given up on me. My counting listless and routine, I’ve lulled them off to dreams.

I smell the crisp, cool air of another winter night, and long to share it with you. But I cannot, yet one more night expends between us spent too far apart in someone else’s arms.

I search for you in my dreams, my mind an endless warrior on the path of love, and peace and joy. When all the dragons have been slain, and I’ve battled the morning fog and won, you come into view sitting
beneath a Willow tree, so strong, so proud, so noble. Your eyes so blue, I’m sure I’ve found my sea of love, your lips awaiting mine. Your arms outstretched, to where at long last I do collapse, and find slumber
divine.

Unique write. So full of it, Willow trees are among my favorite places to hide out and be under and to dream. They swing their branches down and I think I could fall asleep very easily under them during the day even.

If you can slay dragons then you can achieve anything. Time will always provide the answer
