MY ANCESTORS WERE PURE GOLD!

My grandfather made hundreds of organs from scratch and gave them to churches. Now I know why I sometimes compose hymns. He also sculpted extremely ornate furniture out of wood.

We often gathered around the organs he built, singing sacred songs.
Funny how we become that we are surrounded by as kiddos!

My grandparents prayed aloud on their knees on hardwood floors every night which is why it was so easy for me to follow Mother Teresa. I love to pray.

My grandmother came across the country in a covered wagon and had an amazing sense of humor. She made something out of everything as stores were non-existent.

She was a generous and humble soul, greeting everyone, even strangers with a huge hug and putting a few dollars in their pockets. Her laughter filled the house with joy, pouring it into the hearts of all who entered.

She was a very wise old soul who knew the secret of life..giving love to others.

Grandmother taught me to love my parents no matter our hardships as they were great gifts to us. While volunteering at orphanages, I recognized the gift of having even one parent, after seeing so many children with no one and knew what a wonderful teacher she was to me.

From these precious ancestors I was given the gift of gold, the kind that cannot be bought or sold!
