May We All Remember
Those With No Home
by Judy Joy Jones

on thanksgiving day
may we all remember
the poorest of the poor
living an dying
on our streets
hungry an alone
with no families

and as their
eyes close tonight
not knowing
if they will see
the morning light

may we
take a moment
to pray
that one day
they will
have as we
food shelter
medical care
and a home

but tonight
their bed
will be
our cold
concrete streets

the poorest
of the poor
on thanksgiving day

Thanks for your comments. JoAnne thats exactly how I felt when "May We All Remember" flowed thru my pen...they were written by millions of forgotten souls in need.

Judy,

this deeply touched my soul profoundly..You are truly called for such a harvest time as this to lead, teach, mentor, heal and DISCIPLE other's for His foot soldiers of mercy benevolence and hope. I truly relate to these anointing's and calling...You are the voice for the voiceless and the heart for the most cherished- the broken in spirit. God bless you sister

And most of all, may they get the mental health treatment that not all, but many, need to allow them to accept leaving the streets.
