darkness is needed.

I’ve seen the darkness
I’ve reveled in it
and although it was awful
I can’t say that I wouldn’t want you to go through it
I’d actually say the opposite
it was there that I met
and befriended my demons
it was there that I felt truly lost
because it made me appreciate the light.

A unique way of befriending something that may not be healthful in the long run where the light is the best way to go, always.

You got that right. We do need darkness to appreciate the light. Glad you made it back from that dark abyss.
