Stars Dancing in a Cloudless Sky

stars dancing in a cloudless sky

patterns of light in scattering flares

spilling life forgotten

fading

filling primordial pools

drip drip drip

I sniff the frigid air, take

just one breath and crystals form

a single cloud dancing in a starlit dream
