I am but a lamb, still young in His body,
Yet given responsibilities beyond my experience in this world....
It is only through my faith that what ever may lay
Before me is accepted through His will and power of His word:
Which is carrying me…
Which is bearing me…
Which is holding me…
Through this nervous time...
My tongue is short in the verse of His disciples,
My mind hardly remembers the simplest lines,
My hands still worry, not over works, but over styles:
Yet, my feet guide me in a grace so divine…
Which is carrying me…
Which is bearing me…
Which is holding me...
Through this nervous time...
This world throws temptations onto my heart
Burning me with unnatural desires
Pushing my mind to places where love is not a part…
Yet, my faith cleanses the stains with grace’s fires…
Which is carrying me…
Which is bearing me…
Which is holding me…
Through this nervous time…
And though I have found sorrow,
And lived in dreams of what I wanted this world to be
And dreamed of riches for tomorrow…
I have found the peace in His perfect eternity…
Which is carrying me…
Which is bearing me…
Which is holding me…
Through this nervous time.
I am but a lamb among His flock
Safely carried when my legs are too weak to continue,
Lifted up when the mountain is too tall to walk,
Steadied and firmed when my time to die is due…
Because His grace brings His glory…
His glory abounds with His love…
His love brought me His Son to carry
Me to where my words can never be enough…
To thank Him for His lasting peace…
To praise Him for His everlasting love…
To glorify Him for His patience in my sin’s release…
Forevermore my Father, my Shepherd, my Lord God above.
