Someone Like Me
When he walked into the room - with bright and dreamy eyes,
He was a very handsome man - I saw to my surprise.
I have not seen another - so right in all my days,
He is such a handsome man - in many different ways.
Not only gentle, kind is he - and he’s fun loving too,
I wonder how to win his heart - what must a woman do.
He has such fine qualities - not only ones you see,
But then, what would a man like that - want with someone like me.
They say that outer beauty you don’t need to bait the hook,
Then tell me why without it - I don’t get a second look.
I am no beauty queen you see - nor am I slim and trim,
But when it comes to that outward look - no man comes close to him.
He’s tall, kind, and handsome - he’s a winner in my book,
Not only has he inward charm - he has that outer look.
A handsome and successful man - I know he’ll always be,
But then, what would a man like that - want with someone like me.
I don’t have much to offer him - except love and respect,
But it would be a love so strong - he never would regret.
We would love each other only - as true lovers should,
To make him happy I would do - everything I could.
We would have romantic dinners - I’d send him flowers too,
My love for him would be so strong - I’d be his dream come true .
I’d love him and I’d cherish him - for better or for worse,
Everyday we spend together - would be as special as the first.
Well, when I think about it - I guess it’s not so hard to see,
Why a loving, caring man like that…
Would, want someone like me.
