So the end of an election must come to an end
An extra month would have me round the bend
I live in Scotland ..ummm.. the 53rd State?
I think this because we’ve endured all the hate
Between elephants and donkeys to capture your vote
Why not more domestic, like a chicken or a goat?
Democrats and Republicans why not just a mixture?
We have Democratic Republicans here in our mist
And if you are a child, you’re sure to be kissed
But Wednesday comes anew for the victor
The other one leaves the paper’s front picture
I must be careful and not show my vote
I know I don’t have one, I ask you to note
For I guess on AuthorsDen views are all covered
And Obama and John sure know you have suffered
That’s why in the US the victor then peaks
He can’t take his seat in the White House for weeks!
I just hope the election will go without hitches
And votes will be cast like knitting in stitches
No lurking lost votes, a clear winner this time
A new Dawn Awaits I’m sure ‘twill be fine.
America prepare for an historic event
The Victor’s the Winner, just as it’s meant.
