A poem clairvoyantly projected from my dog, Vladimir, to me, so that I might transcribe it to you. He can't type very well.

I do not like that long green hose

When you bathe me

That wet stuff gets too close

To my ears, eyes and nose

You always hate it

Getting on to your clothes

When I shake it off of my fur

Well- I hate it, too!

I try to be nice,

But I’d like to rip

That long green hose

Right out of your grip

Of course, then you’d be mad at me

And I would not get my Jenny O’s

So I stand here and let you wash me

You put that slippery stuff all over my coat

And I hate the way it smells

I look stupid with bubbles

From my head to my tail

I heard you say “it smells like GINGER”

With a big smile on your face

But, I don’t think a dog should have to smell this way

You are making it hard for me to do my job

The next human that comes along trying to rob us

Will probably not be much impressed with my perfume

And who will take me seriously

When a cloud of aromatherapy enters the room?

They will probably say “Oooooh! How cute!”

Right before my teeth sinks into their boot

The only part I like is getting dried off

You always rub me down with

Fluffy warm cloths

And hug me and tell me I’m handsome and good

And I know after that- I’ll be getting some FOOD!

So what was I complaining about?

I love Jenny O, and I kind of forget.

Anyway, Blue- I love being your pet.

Howsa bout some more of those wieners?

Blue, I must tell you... Vladimir is better at poetry than I am. But not to worry about me, I love animals and don't mind being outdone by one at all. And his memory is much like mine, I think.

Thanks for the dog's eye view on this, *Glen*

Your dog is remarkably smart. Do what you gotta' to get the food. Somewhat like us humans, do the job, get the money, buy the food. It's true, we do lead a dog's life!
