Our Own Worst Enemy

The world is in turmoil,
Libya is under seige,
America is once again demonstrating
not about war this time, but about
wages, working conditions, and unions
The NFL Players Association has
stopped all collective bargaining and
has asked to be disaccredited.
We are headed for another major
stock market crash that will be worse than
the crash of '29 when everybody lost
their jobs, their homes, their self respect.
The difference is this time the stock market
will crash in a direction no one ever suspected
would come. The unions will go broke, there
won't be any more disability for the disabled
and medical insurance will skyrocket so high
nobody will be able to afford it, and hospital
costs will be astronomical. Then companies will
lay off workers and will not afford to hire more.
Banks will start to foreclose on homes, businesses
and vacant lots and will not be able to sell them.
Stocks will start to plummet in costs per share
and finally the Fed will declare it is broke. The
Stock markets on Wall Street, in Europe, and in
Tokyo will crash and will not be able to get back up.
Machines will stop producing, farmers will stop
planting and humankind and all the animals and
vegetation will die. The hole in the ozone will get
bigger, and there will be no air to breathe.

What has the world called Terra, what we call earth
come down to? Are we our own worst enemy?
