A Poem written to a young lady 17 y/o in Jacksonville Florida, who was abused, caught up and straying.
Your Angel with a Message:
life can be hard, it can bring hurt and pain to a young innocent life who has so much to gain people hurt each other out of ill passions and hate the wanton burnings of a fools deadly fate
those hurts and pains affects the victim, sometime short term others long it could even be the root of why the victims road to life goes wrong
and when there is no direction, the aim could be the same the victim seeks the abuse from others of the same flame
so there the cycle starts where you rush pell mell down the hill your hearts are constantly broken, and your hunger for love is never filled
so you keep going unguided and meeting the same oh fate the men who cause your hurt and pain, of ill passions and hate
you want to get away, deep down inside your soul cry but you find yourself entrapped and you dont even know why
you give in to the false insecurites, believing it will get better but the trials just increase, like the destruction from bad weather
You try to be strong in the public, but at night you cry so hard you ask youself why cant i get my prayers answered from God
you feel death can be near you, knocking at your door but enslaved to your own frailies, you sip on its glass once more
the bully wants to hurt you, the ride wants to help but if you dont get into the car, you wont get it from no-one else
the greatest trajedies in a persons life, is not the pain inflicted upon them its when they give up and don't seek help and live as a victim
Pain does happen, to many a women, especially when innocent and young but unless you allow the wound to heal, that same old song will be sung
your life will be a big ole circle where you keep going round and round and you meet that same old ill passion and hate, until your grave is dug in the ground
No man can love and respect a woman, unless he feels her pain and if she lets him take advantage of her, what does she have to gain
a night of passion with the one who hates, will flash before your eyes and then by a curb you'll be thrown upon with tears still in your eyes
So from that night you thought so deep and prayed for direction & help I am that angel you so longed for, that was sent to you as you slept
No i am not divine, at least i dont think so, i am made from dirt and sand I'm just a person who hears your cry, that can give you an alternative plan
so if this message applys to you and its the new road you want to take then seek me and you'll find me because i am not very far away
Just go and knock on the right door, of that soon gone house and perhaps when enter the room, you'll see me sitting on the couch

Yes it is quite devastating these abuses and on the other hand one could agree with the aftermath of such too~often times this seems to be all too true...the abused seeking and falling into the same trap of abuse...sort of then turns into a slight bit of self infliction. Perhaps if not one way the other by means of exploitation of their gender/bodies...seeking love in all the wrong places. All too dangerous and a continuance of self destructive ways and trails blazed.
Blessings,

Much compassion a sad poetic tribute. This one touches the readers heart.
Written with insightfulness and compassion. The heart of a spiritual sage reaching out to offer wisdom, direction, understanding, and help to one in need. Finely written.
this is full of wisdom. You are right in pointing out how many abused women fall into the cycle of never ending abuse. I was there once. After my divorce from my husband, I realized that I had married the first man who was mean to me. Why? Because that was my comfort zone. He was manipulative and controlling, like my father. I grew up knowing how to try to earn love, prove my worth...I married within my comfort zone. I did not know how to react to men who treated me well. It is sick, I know. But as you pointed out, it is prevalent. Thank God I realized the mess I was in and now surround myself with good. I pray for your friend and all of the others. This was an excellent write. Much needed.
Deep message. True words of wisdom.
I enjoyed every thought and as I reflect I am touched by the truth of life, living and so much that is lost trying to be all we're forced to be.
Thanks for sharing. Keep writing and inspiring.
