Being is like unto this day, a poem.
Like life unto itself is meaningful
such as the rhyme a feeling
to sense the sounding beats of heart.
A breath is like a fragrance
whereas the blades of grass are many
so too the air - perfumes
and like the variety of perfumes
the worlds of personality.
The wings of visitors
to happen upon a poem
have much in common with the writer.
A reader of feeling is like the scratch
of a pencil heard in the stillness of the paper.
A wing of thought like the edge of a vast sea
of spoken silence where the wind moves
the smallest blade of grass
so too, the highest leaf
in a rhythm at its' own pace.
Like the reader of word;
the happening of inspiration
that together we set sail
upon the sea of imagination.
"The wings of visitors to happen upon a poem
have much in common with the writer."
