The Path

by Lloydene F Hill — Read all 32 poems by Lloydene F Hill

My belief and thoughts today.

Thursday, December 25, 2008

We choose our paths, they don't choose us, that is what we tell ourselves in many ways.

We scream, we yell, we shake our fist in the air, when we feel thwarted, misguided, or delayed.

What good does it do to close off ourselves, providing no nuturance to our inner child.

We ran, we played, we enjoyed every little moment, as in our youth ran wild.

The dismay we feel, the untold horror, the anger and the disgust.

It seems this is felt by all that read, learn and live, a life we've seemingly  all come to distrust.

What road do you walk, a spirit asks, a relpy it surely requires.

Why do you need to know, we retort, do you wish to pull our wires?

The key, the key, the key is the path, the path we follow out of love.

Granted from the ages, the ancestors, the mystery, or perhaps from strangers up above.

The way to end the dire, the dread, the constant unhappiness.

Pass the pleasure to the pain, and move forward on with less.

Am I crazy, unhinged, stupid or just dense?

If you take a chance and try the road I walk, I assure you it will all make sense.

The road, the road, the road, what is this road of which I speak.

It is Red, it is plain, and it assures that the future will not be bleak.

I walk this road, I live this life, I am committed to walk this path of light.

A road that is Red, not white, green or black.

A road of love, happiness, that refuses to live in the past, or dwell on what I lack.

I call all my sisters, brothers, of earth, sea, and sky.

Come join me, live the life I hope for, to be whole with our Mother.

Walking this road, puts you on the path, never allowing your essence to die.

The path, the path, the sacred path, the good red road I hope to walk.

Come join me, all join me, then we can live in harmony, and walking the talk.

Blessed are those that understand the spirit of humanity.

This is a flower of wisdom diffusing scent of fratrenity. "The Path" is a poetic banquet serving wise ambrosias.

I salute You, Poet.

In gratitude and respect,
