I discovered you by way of a friend, a god sent rescue before a tragic and horrid end.Your trust was broken, your patience spent, you bit me twice, but still I didn't relent.
Never give up, never surrender, your love and trust I would win for you are my mentor. Eyes that shine and glow in the dark, quiet as a tomb, you don't even bark.
Half wolf, half dog, they say "he's not all there," but they don't know the real you, you're just a big teddy bear. Protection and pride, tried and true , my best friend and worst adversary, when flashbacks accrue.
So tortured, so shattered, so betrayed, so unloved, you survived only by the grace of the spirit above.
He who had you first should be strung up, the way he did you, hung by a chain, then kicked and kicked til the bones broke, then left whining and writhing in pain. When he felt he had done all he could he left you hanging, starved and thirsty, abandoned for dead, after as a pup, you watched the sadistic bastard put a bullet in your family's heads.
It's been 5 years now, since we became family and friends, I swear I'd kill anyone who tried to go to those lengths with you again. You are much more than an animal, not just a wolf, or a dog, you are the keeper of secrets, of friendship, and despite what some religions say, I know that you have a soul.
It's no wonder you are "different," a bit on the scary side, but yet it lets many of those, who are just like him, know that you are more than wise. And even now you test me, yet you always give in, is it that my will stronger, no I don't think so, it just the love and the trust of a friend.

Many years ago I had a half wolf half dog named Mystic Duke! I gave him his name because of his eyes, one blue and one white...and also for his attentive regal behavior! He was the best friend that I ever had BUT sadly because this city in which I am currently living considered him a dangerous (ha ha ha) wild animal as on his paperwork it stated he was one step removed from 100% wolf lineage I was told to either put him to sleep or be rid of him! I opted to send him far away where I knew he would never be hurt or put to sleep BUT ohhhh dear how I miss him! <tears tears tears>

I simply HATE people who are cruel to animals!
I am a cat lover myself, but I love dogs too.
Anyone who treats animals like that treats humans in like fashion, you can be sure.
Here in Canada, Parliament is about to pass an Act which will make ANYONE criminally liable to TWO FULL YEARS IN PRISON (that's penitentiary, in case you didn't know) if they brutally mistreat or kill an animal.
GOOD!
Know what? I was at the San Diego Zoo once (1996 I think) and petted a HUGE wolf there. He was a really cool guy, and very friendly with me. He licked my hand and my face. I adored him. Too bad he was in a zoo. (The zoo-handler said, "No one is allowed to pet the animals", but I said, "Trust me, I've been in the wilderness, and I think he understands me." He did)
BTW, take a look at Bradley Alexander Bucsis' DEN (He is 16 years old, and loves wolves)
