alright
I’m addicted
out of control with this poetry thing
click click
a new present
a new insight
some dark
some funny
some heartfelt gut wrenching poignant
some love love lovely
there must be some help
for this affliction
everyday I start at the bottom
to make sure I catch all that I can
and back I come
click click
scroll down
looking for a title
that catches my eye
an author who’s past work
has gripped me
alright
I know already
I’m addicted
with poetry affliction
and it’s all your fault
if
you didn’t write such awesome stuff
spellbound matter
if
you didn’t make me laugh
or cry
or think about flies under glasses
or funky cowboy accents
I
could
get
some
work
done
but noooooooo
on and on you go
and trust me the writings on the wall
I’m going to get fired
then
on top of all that
someone’s got to go say
oh you should think about
publishing
yikes
think about it
I long/dream/desire/yearn/would give my first born
for it
scary…….. rejection
is that not the ugliest word in the English language
oh well whatever
I’ve got reading to do
I
need
a
fix
so post away fellow thespians
my vein
is
waiting
Josefina,
Thespians, hmm, would you settle for a true tale lass?
Fun write, I enjoyed. I smile in bowed retreat...

We suffer from the same addiction. It amazes me how your work mimics mine. Different styles of course but the same story line. I think I have GOT to read everything that you wrote. (Is that the addiction again?)

Oh oh! Its not just me? hmmm should we develop a centre were we can get help? should we get help? I was warned about this vacumn.......of course I knew I would not fall into this trap!........
If only there was a transdermal patch sold at bookstores that I could take to help me with this addiction so I could take my daily dose of prose & verse...You said it sooooo well.
