Do It Anyway

If laughter makes you look foolish, laugh anyway

If weeping makes you appear too sentimental, weep anyway

If reaching out to others exposes you to rejection, reach out anyway

If anyone laughs at your dreams, dream big anyway

If it’s painful to love, love anyway

None of these things make you

Less of a man or woman

If fact they make you free

To laugh, to weep

To reach out a helping hand

To dream and to love

Despite criticisms

Whoever risks nothing

Does nothing

Has nothing

Is nothing!

“The ants are a people not strong,

yet they prepare their meat in the summer…”

The conies are but a feeble folk,

yet make their houses in the rocks;

The locusts have no king,

yet go they forth all of them by bands…”

The spider taketh hold with her hands,

and is in the king’s palaces…”
