Honoring Mother & Father

As I focus on you dear Mother on this your Day
My thoughts shift to the many times we share with each other
At times in my life when I thought know one cared,
But through good times and bad, you were always there
You are a friend indeed in times of need,
Throughout my life you’ve always known when my
Heart was troubled,
You know when to be a Mother and when to be a friend,
Now that I am married, and have problems of my own
You are always there to listen – yet you never interfered
As a child, I remembered on a hot Summer’s day,
When you took me to school to register for the coming
School year, as you willingly wore a dress that made you uncomfortable
To accommodate my fears, of insecurity and selfishness
“Mom how can I repay you for a lifetime love & care?”.
And thought this is Mother’s Day, let me take the time to say
Thank you, both Mom and Dad for bringing me into this world
For which if I live a hundred lifetimes; I could never repay.
