A fruit of the Holy Spirit of God is love
This gift of the spirit is reflected in our living
If we have been bathed in this gift from above
It inspires our souls and spurs our giving
If we find resentment taking command of our mind
It works against the spirit when we are unkind
Ask yourself, my friend, “Is the spirit prevailing?”
If not you know that your soul is ailing
Make the love of God your most central of all desires
It quenches out hatred and shields you from Hells fires
Love is kind and generous. Love knows no restraint
Love guides God’s servants and motivates the saint
Love is positive and generous. Love worships God above
It is because of love that Christ came in love
If we accept this love it will reflect in our deeds
God so loves us that he will provide for our needs
Do not turn from this love by letting animosity subsist
For love breeds happiness so pray that love exists
