Love Stretches & Expands

I could understand your frustration

Anger I comprehend as well

But your rage leaves me bewildered, afraid

In a moment you love me, in the next

You are indifferent

It goes against my instincts

For the love I know persists always

It streches you thin and sore

In the difficult times

When I am angry with you

But my arms reach out

My heart aches just as it fills

For the forgiveness stretches it

My heart expands

In pain is the most honest love

(For love is pleasure pain)

Knowing my love does not stop then

Is knowing it is strong, pure

I am so sad for you, my love

That you cannot know this loving

That you cannot feel this giving

For in giving we receive

In loving we are loved

Forgiveness sanctifies the dimmest soul

To love without limit is to be whole
