an excellent write Joyce
we are but fleas, pestering the earth
the earth has be renewing itself for millions of years
all this talk about earth warming is nothing new
Only to us.
P O W E R F U L L Y penned warning in engaging lines--well done. I pray it's not too late, but the polar ice caps are melting faster than anyone predicted, Mount Kilamanjaro may not have snow left on top by the end of this decade, oceans are forecast to rise higher and higher, storms are getting bigger and more intense...I think we're in trouble, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.
A fine poem wrapping a profound warning in a catchy tune.

Joyce, this poem is tightly written and powerfully presented. Really nice work! According to archeologists, a prior global warming cycle culminated about 27 thousand years ago, melting the glacial icepack off of most of the north American continent, and raising the ocean level some 130+ feet. During the end of this period, our desert areas of Arizona and New Mexico were marshlands and forests, and were populated by Imperial mammoths, short-faced bears, dire wolves, three-toed sloths, and sabre-toothed cats, as well as by the first of the tribes to migrate down from the north. This natural global warming cycle caused major changes, as you can see. Some scientists are saying that we are now seeing the bare beginnings of a new cycle of global warming. I would love to be able to live for, say, 20 thousand years -- so I could witness this coming new batch of changes. Ah, well. Thanks for a great poem!
An excellent message,I hope it isn't too late for mankind but if it is then I guess mankind deserves what comes our way.I agree with Eileen.

This is a powerful poem beautifully written so that all can grasp the importance of the subject matter. There seems to be no denying global warming, even though many hate to face the reality. Well done
