Who amongst us someetime have not experienced things that cannot be explained rationally,
My Guiding shadow
I am more than a name on granite stone
Don’t you know who I am?
Surely you do for I once knew you
My spirit remembers yours
In another place at another time
Don’t you know who I am?
I once breathed beside you
I knew you then - and you knew me
My name is written on granite stone
But this is not all there is of me
For I am a part of your life you see
You carry me with you friend
My spirit carries you in the wind
I have left part of me in each place
And part of you I’ve left there too
Perhaps you fail to notice as I pass you by
I sometimes wear shades of blue
Now we are our forefather’s shadow
We are shadows of those gone before
Shadows of those we never knew?
As we travel the dusty roads
To the young we lay down our shadows
All studded in morning dew
What a wonderful concept, guiding shadows maybe of our ancestors, maybe just people we have come into contact with along the way, who knows, i believe that there is someone or something but what it or they are, I'm not sure, God perhaps, I hope so.
thank you for sharing this,

Portland, Oregon is known as the City of Roses. Of course that’s an odd name for a city whose mere mention conjures images of driving winds and torrential ra
A homonymless man writes shows what it's like to look up the laid he skirts when you’re lying prone(d) to the sidewalk, beer / joint / needle dangling from your hand /lips / arm.

We are guided by the ancestors; too bad we don't always follow their advice...powerfully expressed, thought provoking write; well done!

In another place at another time
Don’t you know who I am?
Sometimes, I do know, but other times I truly wonder who those guiding shadows are that come visiting me. And I truly believe they are out there.
