My Own Hell is a story based on the inner workings of faith and sociology combined with hope and reluctance to believe in something more powerful.
Fear is the devine intervention into believing in something bigger then yourself. For without it we may pursue life without consiquences to our own actions until it's to late.
So there it was, another day
The darkness had come to take me away
Down in the shadows locked in my cell
I was trapped in my prison, in my own circle of hell
When up in the distance appeared a bright light
And calling from within said, "Get ready to fight."
So I lifted my chin and I stood my ground
And saw a rush of demons standing all around.
The sickest creatures you ever did see
Black masses of coal came charging at me.
I wanted to run so I turned around
But the voice from the light shouted, "Stand your ground."
Alone and afraid I shaked and I shivered
The closer they came I quaked and I quivered
How many where there? Two thousand three?
I had lost count and I begged to be free.
The deafening sounds had stifled my cry
But I was yelling and screaming, "I don’t want to die."
The creatures where almost atop me now
I wiped the sweat off my dampening brow
All I have seen, All that I know.
Is that there is no one to turn to, and nowhere to go.
"I am sorry" I yelled, "Give mercy to me."
Forgive all my sins and let me be
The light said, "My child I didn’t bring you here
You did this yourself, you’re trapped by your fear.
Nothing in life is what it seems
And your not in prison by any means.
Those bars you created of stainless steal
Are simply your fear of losing what’s real.
The darkness that came to take you away
Is the past you refused to face today.
Those ties that bind you to that cell
It’s your pain and suffering that’s created this hell
The demons that rush you are makeshift too
If you face your past it will stop rushing at you."
To the ground sobbing I hit my knee,
And all my life Flashed before me
Things I had forgotten, stored up and stacked
A life long forgotten came rushing back
Shameful secrets of a life I had lived
Created the prison that I kept myself in
And low and behold I peered through my eye
The sun broke through a beautiful sky
So there it was another day,
The light sent me on my way
The choices we make that is our fate
Remember the past before it’s to late
Let go of the fears, let go of the pain
You are not what you’ve done or what you became
You are judged now by what you choose to do
So how far are your demons from you?
This is my story and I had to tell
How it came to be, that I created my hell
Very nice, you definitely express the deep emotions of confusion and turmoil from within one's own demise of life and thought. You show us how one can become engulfed inside their own fears and create their own dilema. Very nice Crissy.....
Your words are so true we create our own hell I created my own prison for years I was living in hell that I created. Now I am creating heaven. Thanks for your deep words.

A battle of life and death, of good against evil, of angels and demons. You are right. We create our own hell, but in the end we can overcome with His grace. Victor
