Into Whatever the Future Holds

Your wet, warm kisses

Don’t actually take me any place

But rather throw me off guard, Darling,

They send signals and tingly sensations

From my head to my toes

Clear and pleasing signs they are

The strong scent of your rosebud desire

Throws me a punch that’s nowhere

Near the nose yet

It’s a good punch and it’s bewitching

There’s no way I can refuse

Your sweet invite

To sit then lie with you

On your sofa quiet and overstuffed

There we listen to our favorite vocalist—

Soft notes, hard notes, chords, key

Lights turned low

My electric skin brushing yours

Every few minutes another item

Of clothing is removed

A then B

Winter, spring who cares?

Let tomorrow come but first

We create these memories

To accompany us

On our journey through the night

And into whatever the future holds.

Whatever the future holds is a great write and inspiringly makes one think of their love in their life and how great it was at times and is never to be with me again.
